Hey, I'm Jen.
Trader, artist and founder of UPWRD
The story
I started trading over four years ago, completely self-taught. Like a lot of new traders, I learned by piecing everything together myself — hours of research, endless YouTube videos, and most importantly, a lot of time studying the charts.
And I quickly discovered just how overwhelming learning to trade can be. Everyone teaches something different. Strategies contradict each other. There's an endless amount of information, but very little structure around what to learn, when to learn it and how to actually put it all together.
I stopped looking for more information and started focusing on building a process I could understand, repeat and refine.
That changed the way I approached trading. As I started sharing my journey online, more people began asking me to teach them what I had learned. Teaching wasn't originally part of the plan, but it felt surprisingly natural.
And eventually, that became UPWRD. I created UPWRD to make financial education feel less intimidating and more approachable — starting with trading.
My goal isn't to tell you what trades to take or promise you an outcome. It's to help you understand what you're doing, develop your own process and build the skills to make more informed decisions.

The artist
Outside of trading, I'm also a professional singer and artist. Creativity has always been a huge part of my life — the part that follows feeling, intuition and expression.
The trader
Trading introduced me to a completely different world of structure, patience and discipline — the part that follows a process, reviews decisions and refines over time.
